Modern optical networks are racing toward 400G/800G+, open line systems, and disaggregated architectures. CONE equips you to:

  • Engineer coherent systems with advanced DSP at 100G/400G/800G and beyond

  • Deliver 10 Tb/s class capacity from metro to trans-oceanic distances
  • Choose optimal amplification schemes (EDFA, Raman, hybrid)
  • Assess subsea SDM ideologies and their relevance to terrestrial builds
  • Adopt flex-grid—when, where, and how to implement
  • Specify ROADM functions (including CDC-F) for current and future needs
  • Engineer for low latency without sacrificing resilience or manageability
  • Decide on FEC/DSP approaches aligned to your performance targets
  • Plan for SDN, open networking & disaggregation, including white-box implications
  • Use a methodical design process to set sound strategies and policies
